SUMMER 2009 - THE PLANE CHALLENGE

At the finals on 11 July 2009, Team Gibbins of Long Lane Primary School flew their plane the quickest with a speed of 5.35 metres per second. The runners up were The Hardie Hawks from Emmer Green School and in third place came Dark Knight also of Long Lane Primary School. The team whose plane flew the furthest distance of 28.55m was D.R.A.G. of Park Lane School.

The Hardie Hawks also won the Best Team Theme award for their excellent Hawklands Airport design. Another team worthy of mention was Mutley Crew of Long Lane Primary School with their highly commended airport theme.

This term we introduced the use of budgeting with WSR currency to buy resources from our shop and to encourage recycling from home. The team who budgeted the best was the Flying Squirrels.
